Environmental group sues for list of DOGE rollbacks
The Center for Biological Diversity claimed the Office of Management and Budget has failed to release information on which environmental regulations may be subject to overhaul, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday.
In February, President Donald Trump released an executive order ordering all federal agencies to review their regulations to identify 'overbearing and burdensome' administrative requirements.
The center said in a news release that the order, implemented the Department of Government Efficiency, once headed by billionaire Elon Musk, could weaken environmental protections by overhauling laws like the Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act and Clean Water Act.

According to the lawsuit, CBD submitted Freedom of Information Act requests to OMB in April, seeking the lists of which environmental laws and regulations would be targeted under the executive order, but has not received a response.
